I've wondered how facial tats that go over in New Zeeland that are not native? Anyone visited? It was a discussion I had with my ex, Aura Fist, who I wrote about in Hustler last month.

She thought that the locals would be pissed at her.
Anyone know? What about getting a facial tattoo from a Maori?

Re: facial tats in New Zeeland
Thu, May 19, 2005 - 7:36 AMI am facially tattooed and have met a few artists from New Zealand some Maori and some not, on all occasions they have been cool about my ink.
As for getting tattooed by a Maori, it is possible but the design you get will not be true Maori unless you are a native with the history to go into the tattoo. There is an equivalent style that you can get, which is more accepted by the Maoris on a westerner but i'm afraid i can't remember the name of it at the moment. -
